Ultrasonic devices for sample preparation
Hielscher recommends the use of ultrasonic devices for sample preparation prior to HPLC analysis
According to the company, the best way to prepare a sample before HPLC analysis is to use ultrasonic devices.
It claims this is the easiest process to achieve reliable configuration of parameters such as amplitude, concentration, temperature and pressure.
High power low frequency ultrasound (around 16-20 kHz) loosens matrix structures of cellular material and makes contact with solvent molecules easier.
This means that ultrasonic extraction for smaller lab samples can be carried out in 1-3 minutes, depending on the specific samples.
