Laboratory notebook software now interfaces with Microsoft SQL database server to address the needs of distributed organisations
EKM, which describes itself as a knowledge management services provider, has announced a new SQL database server interface for its Labtrack software.
The addition of an SQL server interface broadens the spectrum of enterprise class capability offered by Labtrack and enhances the wide range of databases that can be used with the product.
"This is an important step in the evolution of our product," explains Stewart Larson, CEO of EKM.
"It addresses the needs of today's distributed organisations, answering the question of how vital information can be quickly and securely shared within, across, and outside a company - even if the participants are thousands of miles apart." In expanding Labtrack's enterprise capability with Microsoft's popular SQL server, EKM has answered the needs of a growing clientele and expanded the list of Labtrack compatible databases.
EKM's customers - including many leading pharmaceutical companies - have discovered the benefits of Labtrack and are now eager to address their collaborative and knowledge management needs with larger scale implementations.
