Rainin AutoRep S makes light work of tedious pipetting

According to the company, the pipette offers greater manual control, faster sample processing and higher throughput.

It claims to be comfortable, light-weight and provides flexibility and ease of use when pipetting multiple aliquots in a variety of different applications.

Dispense volumes are easily changed by simply rotating the stroke-setting wheel, which is conveniently positioned to enable simple one-handed operation.

Other features include:

• The extended finger-hook, narrow shape and ergonomic grip makes the AutoRep S easy to hold over long periods and allows it to rest comfortably in your hand.
• A convenient filling lever on the front of the instrument simplifies liquid aspiration, while a syringe ejection key eliminates the need to manually detach used syringes, enabling you to eject them quickly and safely.
• Volume tables are attached to the back of the AutoRep S to provide a quick and convenient visual reference for selecting dispense volumes, syringe sizes and number of pipetting steps.

AutoRep S is designed to work with Encode Syringe Tips, they provide a total of 59 different liquid dispense volumes, over a range of 2µl – 50ml, allowing users to perform accurate and precise repeat dispensing, even of viscous and high vapour pressure liquids.
