Flow control specialist Bio-Chem Valve has developed an innovative, solenoid-operated syringe valve for liquid handling in scientific and medical equipment
The design of the BCV01-02 solenoid-operated syringe valve enables side-by-side flush-mounting, reducing the space typically required by standard, end-to-end mounting of automated syringes. The unit consists of a three-way isolation valve in a square body with easily accessible top and bottom connections.
The valve provides the reliability and repeatability required for precision dispensing along with a three-way switching capability, from aspirate to dispense, which reduces cross-over volume and increases dispensing accuracy.
The valve features a fast response time, continuous duty, and a high cycle life, and is designed for low power consumption.
It is constructed of Teflon with Peek or PPS wetted parts.
Connection to the syringe is accomplished with a luer or 1/4-28 port.
Providing an excellent alternative to a substantially more expensive shear valve and stepper motor combination, the compact syringe assembly is designed for a variety of mounting options and customised modifications are available on request.
