Research facility selects Watson-Marlow pumps
Watson-Marlow Pumpscontact supplier
Watson-Marlow Pumps has announced that it has supplied process pumping equipment to the National Institute for Bioprocessing Research and Training (NIBRT) in Dublin, Ireland.
The NIBRT has been designed to closely replicate a realistic GMP simulated, operational manufacturing environment.
The organisation has installed more than 20 520 and 620 series peristaltic pumps to both the upstream and downstream pilot plants.
The NIBRT is also using an FPC50W aseptic peristaltic filling and capping system supplied by Flexicon Liquid Filling - part of the Watson-Marlow Group.
The NIBRT Fill-Finish suite comprises a simulated grade C/B cleanroom with material airlock, two-stage personnel gowning airlocks, media preparation area and filling room, which is equipped with a Flexicon pilot-scale filling machine under RAB.
The facility is designed to mimic operations in an aseptic vial-filling suite.
Interchangeable technology from Flexicon has helped diagnostic reagent manufacturer Hart Biologicals accommodate business growth with an upgrade to an FF30 tabletop bottle-filling and capping machine.
Watson-Marlow Pumps has launched the Flexicon PF6, a flexible liquid filling machine designed for use in clean-room environments.
Watson-Marlow has announced that Lab21 has installed two semi-automatic Flexicon FF series tabletop filling machines to automate diagnostic operations.
Lorne Laboratories has installed a Flexicon FF30 filling and capping machine from Watson-Marlow, helping it to fulfil orders from blood-transfusion, immunology and sero-diagnosis professionals.
Watson-Marlow has launched Pureweld thermoplastic elastomer tubing, designed for peristaltic pumping in biotechnology and pharmaceutical processes.
