Centrifuge maintains balance and speed
Beckman Coulter
Allegra X-15R
Incorporating adapters for direct centrifugation of cell culture flasks, eliminating an entire step in the cell culture process, this machine automatically detects and corrects imbalance
Beckman Coulter introduces the Allegra X-15R benchtop centrifuge, providing fast separations and optimal recovery in the largecapacity four x 750ml rotor.
This new instrument spins thepopular rotor at 5250g - said to be the fastest speed availablefor this capacity, and also spins microplate carriers.
Describedas ideal for many applications, the Allegra X-15R accommodatesBeckman Coulter's exclusive adapters for directcentrifugation of cell culture flasks, eliminating an entire stepin the cell culture process.
It also incorporates Aries smartbalance rotor technology, which not only automatically detectsimbalance, but also corrects it, enabling customers to completetheir runs even if the samples are not balanced.
All AllegraX-15R rotors and carriers with covers are certified by CAMR,Porton Down, UK, for biocontainment.
Aerosolve clear canistersfor the round swinging buckets are also available forbiocontainment, enabling viewing from top and bottom.
Aneasy-to-use numeric keypad user interface enables direct entry ofvalues with user-friendly prompts.
"This new benchtopcentrifuge meets the pressing needs we have heard from usersworldwide," explains Barbara Keeler, product marketingmanager for Beckman Coulter.
"Researchers want more powerand flexibility on the bench, and the Allegra X-15R deliversit".
