Fiberlite rotors
Beckman Coulter announces the addition of two new Fiberlite rotors to its selection for the Avanti J series high-performance centrifuge systems
lThe comprehensive list of choices for these models now includes the new lightweight carbon fibre rotors, the Avanti JLA-Lite high-performance rotors, as well as traditional aluminium offerings.
The new 14x50mL conical fixed-angle and 6x250mL fixed-angle Fiberlite rotors were co-developed by Beckman Coulter and Piramoon Technologies and have been specially tested to ensure optimal performance on the Avanti line of centrifuges.
These lightweight carbon composite rotors are fully compatible with Beckman Coulter's exclusive rotor identification system.
Both new rotors are offered with a full complement of adapters.
The new 14x50ml rotor spins 14 50ml conical tubes up to 33,500g.
The 6x250ml rotor accommodates tubes from 3ml to 250ml and can reach forces up to 30,000g.
"These new offerings round out our complete selection of high-performing rotors for the Avanti series," explained Barbara Keeler, business manager for Beckman Coulter.
"We now offer a more comprehensive rotor library, giving Avanti customers many application options".
Beckman Coulter's Avanti J Series high-performance, high-capacity centrifuges are ideal for harvesting, separating, lysing and pelleting of particles including DNA, proteins and viruses.
