The Royal Microscopical Society's Microscience 2010 meeting, which was held at Excel London in June, featured 18 symposia within the 'life', 'materials' and 'new frontiers' themes.
The symposia covered topics within the biological and physical-science arenas, as well as light, electron and other microscopies.
The conference attracted 519 conference delegates and met its visitor target of 2,000.
The European Microscopy Congress 2012 will be held at Excel London on 16-21 September 2012, with the first call for papers being made on 1 October 2011.
