Follett has introduced a line of high-performance, single-door upright refrigerators that provide energy savings and environmental benefits for healthcare applications.
The energy-saving features are in addition to cabinet-wide cooling, user-programmable monitoring and alarming, and serviceability ease.
Follett's energy-saving cabinet design includes a full 2.75in of CFC-free foam insulation that is said to reduce conduction heat loss, refrigerator run time and power consumption by as much as 40 per cent compared with other refrigerators.
Full-length LED light bars replace fluorescent bulbs to provide better cold-environment performance, while consuming significantly less energy and generating virtually no heat.
A low-E coating on Follett's dual-pane glass door also reduces energy loss by 30 to 50 per cent compared with uncoated glass.
Follett's 100-per-cent-recyclable stainless-steel cabinet construction eliminates waste-stream issues associated with painted cabinets.
The selection of R-134a refrigerant provides low ODP and GWP in support of Leeds EA-4 standards.
